Cortland Endurance

The Cortland Endurance Reels have all the benefits of a large-arbor (increased line capacity and quicker line retrieve), quick-release spool combined with an impregnated cork, sealed-drag system to make this a classic reel. Drag knob is made of soft polyurethane, making it easier to grip with cold, wet fingers. Exposed rim control allows you to vary the drag resistance to your preferences. Made of aluminum with secondary machining. Silent retrieve with audible drag when feeding line. Converts from left-hand to right-hand retrieve. While the Endurance may not be a premium reel, it is priced right at around $100.

The MXP is the perfect light weight fly reel with big game features. The series is available in four sizes for lines 1 through 8 wt. The MXP uses a large arbor diameter to achieve the optimum spool depth to width ratio.

Ross

The MZ is a completely new design using the "zero-backlash" clutch and Cork/FXB polymer disc drag. The MZ uses four stainless steel ball bearings and has a sealed drag mechanism which is part of the frame unit. The reel has a quick release spool and traditional frame side drag adjuster knob.

The MZ is 100% machined aluminum alloy and stainless steel construction with no plastic parts or bushings. The MZ functions with ball bearing smoothness, a silent retrieve and a crisp out-going click. The reel (frame & spool) comes with either all Jet Black or all Pearl Gray polished glossy finish with optional spool colors.

These high capacity reels hold 250 yards of backing (20lb ) and sell for around $395 for a 8-9 wt. The weight is a respectable 7.5oz.
